During this unprecedented time, we at Prairie Sticks have had the time to pause and reflect on what really matters to us. Out of those discussions, we have decided that although we are a small family business, rather than taking on a defensive position, we are choosing to focus on helping and supporting others.
We believe that "Baseball Will Be Back", at some point. And when it comes back, because so many families have been impacted financially by these events, there will be hard decisions to be made regarding their children's particaption in sport. We don't want to see any child miss this season because of this crisis, as sport is especially important to help us heal and recover after times like these.
We are asking for a joint effort to make this happen. All profits from sales through our website www.prairiesticks.com until April 30 (and we will reevaluate then) will be sent to KidsSport. KidsSport is a Canadian non-profit organization who has been around since 1993 and helped over 800,000 kids financially to participate in sport through grants to those who can't afford to play their chosen sport.
If you are in a position to help, we hope you can join our efforts to get kids back playing once it is safe to do so. Let's all make an impact on our youth and take that financial burden off of those who will face that decision.
For those of you who aren't able, please take care of yourselves first and foremost.
