Your prices are listed in Canadian Dollars, what will my cost be?
When sending payment by check or money order, you are able to either pay in Canadian or US Dollars. It is your choice. If you decide to pay in US Dollars we will calculate the rate of exchange as of that day. If you are paying with a credit card, we will take an authorization in Canadian Dollars, and your credit card company will do the currency exchange based on their exchange rate that day.
Do you have quantity discounts for teams or a group of players?
Yes. We have price breaks in place at 6, 12, and 24 bats. Please call or e-mail for prices.
How long will it take for me to get my bat?
Every bat that is ordered through us is custom made for you to your specifications; we do not pull pre-made bats off of a shelf. After your bat(s) are made, we will stain them to your requirements and let the bat dry overnight. We then apply the logo and labels on to each bat allowing them to set on the bat. Once these two processes are complete we apply two coats of our custom finish on the bat. Each of these coats must dry overnight as well. It takes at least three days to produce just one bat. With that being said, our goal is to have your bat(s) go out to you within 5 - 7 business days from the day that you order. On large volume orders, we would ask you to plan your order accordingly and allow us some extra time.
Can I get my name on my bat(s)?
Personalization is available. There is a cost of $3.00/bat. Anything over 3 bats is a $10.00 flat fee.
Why do you cup bats?
There are two reasons why we would cup a bat. The first reason is to get the bat to a proper length to weight ratio. Second, cupping a bat makes the bat feel more balanced. There is no charge to cup a bat.
How do I know how heavy my bat is?
We mark the weight of the bat to a tenth of an ounce on the barrel end of the bat.
What kind of wood do you use?
We use Canadian Maple. Our maple comes from different regions in Quebec and dried and processed specifically for baseball bats. For fungos and our training bats we use maple or ash. We are able to use Ash for bats, but this will be only done by request.

Does Prairie Sticks sponsor teams, schools or tournaments?
Yes we do. We started this company on the basis of giving back to baseball and to see the game played with wood bats again. Please call or e-mail, as there are many different options that may we have to suit your situation.
If I don’t see a model that you stock can you custom make it for me?
Yes, we have the capability to do this. If it as simple as making a 33” PS172 with a 1” handle instead of a 15/16” handle, just request the change when you place your order. If it is a completely different model, you can send us your bat for tracing and we will ship it back to you with your finished bat. There is no additional cost for this.
What colors do your logos come in?
We use silver, black and white logos. We use different colored logos for the various colors of stains we stock. Different colored logos look more appealing on various stains.
If there is a color that you don’t normally stock can I still request that color?
Yes this is perfectly OK. We do however ask that for orders of less than 6 bats that you add $4.00 to your order for purchasing the custom color. For order of more than 6 bats with that same color is free.
Do you manufacture your own bats?
Yes, we make every bat by hand from start to finish. The only two things that is not done by hand is the making our labels and spinning the billet on the lathe.
What is a novelty bat?
A novelty bat is a bat made from an inferior billet or a billet that is too heavy to make a saleable bat out of. We make novelty bats and sell them to individuals, companies, schools, etc. who present them as awards or gifts. Please e-mail us as to what you are looking for and we can meet your request that way. Novelty bats are less expensive than our Pro Maple bats.
Can I get my team logo on a bat?
Yes, this can be done. Just mail us a decal and we can apply it to the bat. |
